Session@ The Hague 2025

Where & When

Wednesday, 22 October 2025 - Sunday, 26 October 2025

We are proud to host an exceptional team of internationally renowned teachers, all of whom are highly respected chamber musicians with active performing careers. Two of them are also part of our own faculty at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, and we are especially delighted to have them contribute to this session on home ground.

At the heart of this ECMA session is the belief in learning as a shared experience. We aim to create a supportive, open community where knowledge flows not only from teachers to ensembles, but also between peers—through listening, exchanging ideas, and reflecting together. Chamber music thrives in connection, and we invite you to be part of this inspiring musical dialogue.

The two Collaborative Sessions during the week will offer a different perspective on performance and stage presence, encouraging you to reflect on how you communicate through your music, both with each other and with your audience.

As part of the program, the Let’s Talk To…” round table will offer valuable insights into what it takes to build a professional career as a chamber ensemble. We’ll explore key aspects such as long-term collaboration, artistic development, navigating practical challenges, and strategies for sustainable growth. This is a unique opportunity to hear personal experiences and practical advice from those who have walked the path before.

We are also excited to take ECMA beyond the conservatoire by hosting concerts in external venues across The Hague. These performances are an opportunity to connect with the city, reach wider audiences, and share the beauty of chamber music with the public. Special attention will be given to attracting young audiences, nurturing the next generation of listeners and supporters of the art form.
