Tuesday, 17 September 2024 - Friday, 20 September 2024
After four days of intensive master classes with some of Europe’s most renowned musicians, the three ensembles of the European Chamber Music Academy present the results in a unique concert. Rarely-heard works from three corners of Europe will be heard, together forming a colourful bouquet of chamber music.
The Paddington Trio plays the Third Piano Trio by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, written during a summer holiday on the island of Korpo; the Javus Quartet performs the First String Quartet by Spanish-Basque composer Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, also known as the ‘Spanish Mozart’; and the Susato Trio brings a piano trio by Ukrainian composer Borys Lyatoshynsky, co-founder of modernism in his country.
An excellent opportunity to get to know the crème de la crème of the youngest generation of chamber musicians while making new musical discoveries.
